QUEEN – A Review!

QUEEN – A Review!
The film’s story is about a middle class Indian girl in Rajouri Garden, Delhi, who decides to go on her honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam alone, after her fiance walks out of the marriage two days before wedding.

It is a very well written movie that might seem slow to some but the story is something that everyone can relate to.  Every woman will be able to relate to the journey of self-discovery that she goes through!  This film is very entertaining and a must see!

30 SALES TIPS

30 TIPS TO BE A BRILLIANT SALESMAN
In my life I have sold it all. From people to laptops to software (which I enjoy the most) to advertising campaigns to TV shows to drugs (the pharmaceutical kind) to you name it I have sold it or tried to sell it.
If you think I sit on a hill of success then please note that I have had to cross mountains of failures to get to the top of that tiny hill.

I am not at the top yet and have a long way to go but I train a lot of sales people and share my insights.  Here I have shared 30 points that will help anyone better their efforts in selling anything!

I hope these things I have learned from my career experience will also help you!

01.   Always sell something that is tough to sell… its more satisfying that way!  Find what your passion in life is and sell that… it will be easier and you will be more successful at it.
02.   Never sell someone something they cannot use or do not want as it will always bite you on your next sale!
03.   Wear multiple hats and sell multiple things ALWAYS because a fruit basket of products or services broadens your horizons the aggregate discounts weigh in much more and you will have more luck in selling each time that you try!
04.   Always dress very well as you have to sell yourself first before what you want to sell!  Nothing looks more badass than a good suit and a clean tailored haircut. Also smell good but don’t douse yourself in cologne or aftershave!  Always go out into public dressed like you are going to your own wedding
05.   Always look your client in the eye when you talk to them.
06.   Always give a firm handshake.
07.   Always stand when you shake some ones hand!
08.   Always stand up for your clients when they enter a room especially for ladies!
09.   Never make it personal.  Do NOT try to socialize with your clients ever! Keep it professional.  When people become personal you will be forced to compromise on the rate you give somehow somewhere and your company will not question the transparency in the deal.
10.   Always know your competition and know the weaknesses in your product / services.

11.   Accept criticism with a good attitude!
12.   If you are not confident… Fake It! It will come with time!
13.   You can always tell the size of a client’s wallet and his attitude by the size of the things that bother him.
14.   Always be conscious of your body language!  When you walk look forward not at your feet and avoid using a phone whilst walking.
15.   Ask more than you answer – people love to talk about themselves and you get to know their actual requirements.
16.   Never lend anything or discount anything you cannot afford to lose forever.
17.   Fuck fighting for your company – fight for your client as his money is what pays your salary.  The client is always right and the client should always be protected by you,
18.   Always conduct calls on a cellphone that are important when you are alone and people cannot hear what you are talking about.
19.   Do not post shit about your work on social media or text grievances to people about your product client work or family.
20.   No matter their job status in life – EVERYONE deserves respect!... including you!

21.   Never let your little head do the thinking for your big head (at parties etc.)
22.   Never talk business whilst or after you consume any intoxicant.
23.   Nice honest guys NEVER finish last, dishonest boring salesmen do who are out for a quick buck!
24.   If something bad happens accept your faults quickly apologize and present solutions… do not add to the problems… salesmen are solution givers… NOT problem creators!
25.   Do your own paper work and always be ready to learn… this will protect you in the after sales service area and help you in upselling to your clients!
26.   Never change for your company!  Evolve for your clients! Luck favors those who are honest and always prepared!  Be intelligent BUT not over smart.  If you are the smartest person in the meeting room then you are in the wrong room… be humble!
27.   Never go for a quick solution always suggest an honest long term solution to your client.  Trust is earned NOT demanded so value it the most if you have it with your client.
28.   Never complain about a client to his competition it is the height of disrespect always.  Also winning a battle by putting another company or person down will NEVER win you the war!
29.   No one on their deathbed ever wished that spent more time at work so regulate the hours and manage your time and after work hours ENJOY LIFE TO the max doing what you enjoy doing personally!

30.   Lastly Women find confidence sexy!  So whatever you sell do it well and do it with pride and always have a smile!
Lastly
THREE THINGS
1. Never promise anything when very happy or try to reconcile anything under trauma or duress or anger
2. Its hard to earn money and only if you can work smart and honestly hard will it pour into your wallet!
3. There is no such thing as a quick buck!

DELI – A Review!

DELI – A Review!
Tucked away from the safety of the lower class behind a wall that separates the rags from the riches Deli is a very quaint little eatery.  My parents have frequented the place several times and today we decided to have a family meal there!

As you get in the door one realizes that it’s a bit cramped and very snug.  Kind of perfect for that couple in love who don’t want to be too far but the problem is that the minute they move their seat back to get some leg room under the table you notice that they wind up bumping into a chair behind them.

As we sat down the server came and took our order.  I was extremely impressed by the salesmanship this chappy had in him because he stuck by our table suggesting all sorts of items and up-selling the menu.  Salesmanship is good if you now your product well and it seemed to us that this guy knew the menu well and actually knew how to sell what to whom. (Not Stereotyping but this was impressive)

After that he was gone and the service was very slow if none at all.  I guess it was a Saturday night and people had started filling the place. We had to ask 4 times before our drinks were served and another 3 times for the food to be served. So if you rate this place for service then in two simple words….  IT SUCKS!

However Deli has some amazing food which you can say is the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!  This is one joint where the steak was very well cooked.  Not too many people can do a Medium Rare steak and get it right.  Most restaurants rely on their sauces to do the trick for them and cover up not so good cooking enveloped in a fancy plate but Deli really knows how to make steak! And that too extremely well!

The risotto was very well cooked and now that is a tough nut to crack as well but this too was  a treat along with the pasta that had a fantastic blend of herbs and was not over doused with tomato sauce.  Finally the shrimp was well cooked and extremely well seasoned.  To add to this Deli has a Strawberry Lemonade which you must try as it tastes exactly like a Strawberry Daiquiri at Dave & Busters (all you need is rum and tequila).  If you ask me to rate the food I would even I wanted to be negative give a deli 9.5 out of 10.   So in two short words…  ITS AWESOME!

After the meal again no candy (service) as it took 20 minutes to get the bill paid as the waiter came in 10 minutes to find out that we wanted the cheque cleared & then took another 10 minutes to swipe the damn credit card!  After that we walked out with great care so as to not to bump into other guests.  If this place could sort out the service and maybe lessen a table or two it would be brilliant!

GULAAB GANG – REVIEW

 GULAAB GANG – REVIEW

Gulaab Gang is centered on the struggle of women in India.  The film tells the story of a gang of Indian women dressed in pink coloured saris, fighting against social injustice.

There is a lot of action and the best bit is that it is the story of an underdog who wins in the end. A true story like the one of Phulan Devi this is one movie that people should watch as it shows the struggle and determination of people from the lower classes. The roles are well played by Madhuri and Juhi and make one realize what life in the rural areas is like for women.

HIGHWAY – REVIEW

HIGHWAY – REVIEW

This is one film that has been filmed all over India.  From the Rajasthan desert to the Himalayas this film shows you India like you have never seen it before.

The film outlines the story of a young woman who is kidnapped before her wedding and held for ransom wherein she develops Stockholm syndrome towards her kidnapper.  Now the funny thing is that the film has a real message that hits the youth and society with a kick in the groin depicting that it’s not all right to cover up what goes on behind the closed doors of the rich and famous or any family for that matter.

Also the film reaches out and tells the youth that its ok to find nirvana where ever the choose to do so.  If you want breathtaking locations, a good story and a movie that will NOT bore you then this is a good story to see.
