WHY YOUR TECH PARTNER MUST BE A PAKISTANI TECH COMPANY – (THE BENEFITS & CHALLENGES)!
What I am about to say is not a sales pitch
for an industry from a certain country neither is it lobbying for that country
or soliciting business for Pakistan. This
post is about a few realities at hand that everyone seems to be aloof of and
only focuses on perpetual problems in Pakistan that the main-stream media keeps
on replaying to deviate from the real matters at hand.
Why am I qualified to write such a post? For
one, one my own late father was chair for a telco concern in Pakistan, I was
the first paid employee of P@sha even before it was so widely known. I have
consulted on many tech projects from Voip to ERP’s SAP you name it – I have sold
it and before selling it I understood the technology extremely well.
My late father had a habit of hoarding
documents & his friends would refer to him when they needed it because that
is what he was an articulate educated gentleman who documented everything. Me on
the other hand, a ruthless sales savage with a thirst for the thrill of the kill
from a sales closure because I found that there is no rush bigger than an 80-year-old
chairman of the board sign a one-year agreement and also hand over a check for
what I presented to them as a solution.
Selling technology in Pakistan taught me how
to sell anything in the world! The
reason is simple and these are the same reasons that you need to engage
yourself with a well reputed tech company out of Pakistan.
All the coders out of Pakistan write original
code. – Unlike India that has a copy paste module and their disciplined tech
universities there are virtually no educational resources for further learning
on technology. There are a few universities that breed the best foundations of
coding into students and hand over a degree.
These college kids have virtually no money
and the internet when it exists so they work on freelancing platforms such as
Fiverr and when the government caused so many problems in the end of 2024 –
Fiverr shut down all accounts from Pakistan causing irreparable damage to the
people that not only added value to the tech world but were one resource pool
of an influx of foreign exchange into Pakistan.
The country has a problem for every solution
that the tech world can think of.
Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad when designed and then implemented was
the 4th city on this planet to have FTTH & FTTO capabilities at
that time.
Yes! It
was a secured communications network that existed before the formation or invention
of a mobile telephone leave alone the internet.
Pakistani developers and technology companies
are a powerful tool to have in your inventory of vendors because their pricing
is lower that the average global quote, the code is not plagiarized because the
country does not have the resources to buy scripts off the internet and they
believe in doing things the right way.
If you need to understand a Pakistani developer
or a coder then understand that this is a person with an incredibly
overclocking brain on an adrenalin high. He or she is ruthless in code because
whatever he or she has learned is through the experience of self -taught trial
and error. Pakistani developers &
coders in their learning the hard way without formal training have become so
well-versed with the environment they work in that nobody can challenge the quality
of the code they deliver.
At the end of the day when everything is working
and they are uploading a file – the electricity goes out??? Everywhere?
Yes, it’s incredibly frustrating working
under such circumstances with a people like that but one must exercise patience
when it comes to Pakistani technology companies because their commitment is to
customer satisfaction and delivery of quality.
Having sold every from of technology over the
years, I would like to assure you that if you wish to take your business or
work environment to the next level then leave all these fancy brand names and
align with a well-reputed Pakistani company that has a good track record for
delivering what your needs are.
It will be less emotionally & financially
expensive for you in the long run!
