NEW COLLEGE COURSE - HISTORY 101

As humans we succumb to the lure of the seven deadly sins – but as Pakistanis we are blind to the clarity that is presented before us. As we further divide ourselves into our regional sects we are oblivious to the national cause and laugh at the united we stand rather adopt the divide and rule concept.

This history lesson that I propose should allow the graduate to sign on a contract that will make them acknowledge their civic responsibility and strip them of all and any rights to moan and groan about what the country did not achieve. This land was conceived as a land of opportunity and if one digs through the facebook archives of people one can really understand how not only Pakistan but Afghanistan were known to be the most happening places in the east…

We were rocking nations filled with art culture investment opportunities and a progressive outlook towards the future. Our ports were filled with trade and our people enjoyed the ability to boast that they were Pakistanis. We laughed at the world when our airline was the preferred choice for all international and domestic travels. The worlds global carriers today all have a deep rooting of our mandate which made us a success at that time. Our children were considered to be brilliant minds and our rationale was considered to be unique…

Sixty years down – Pakistan is an underdog – a beggar with its hands out to anyone and anything that would drop a few bread crumbs its way. Our people who stood proud with civic sense have lost all forms of sense and are fighting a war against their own consciences and one can define them as rebels without a clue. I can keep on digging up what you hide in your backyards but I think you get my drift.

History is best taught when you have to live it as your memory is crystal clear through experience. So in reality you have done a practical… Now back to defining what can make you graduate this course… The answer is simple elect a leader who can lead you into the next decade but before you do send your internal demons to the gallows. I don’t think you will like it but I only find one man who fits the job of having years of administration experience – managing budgets to feed his administration – international resources as well as the ability to ensure that if he stands behind the star and crescent he will never allow red white and blue or even orange to blemish it.

We need a son of the soil a man or a woman who bled for this land and a one who could not care less about what happened to him or her. A person who has the ability to give the finger to those who he feels will hurt us and the ability to say NO. Someone who is not afraid of the press has a lot of respect for the constitution yet does not sell out to the politics in the judicial system and has the ability to plan and execute an internal war against enemies of the state…

The answer is simple give Mush a ticket back to Pakistan and the respect that we gave him when we asked him to save us from the chaudharys and waderas. If you decide to do so then ensure that you give him Imran khan as a Prime Minister – Azhar Jadoon as your Interior Minister and Leghari as your defense minister. Give him the ability to make decisions and bestow your trust on him and for God’s sake if they make a decision against your liking then take a disprin and shut up.

Ensure that the press is given a mandate to report everything they can and a body is formed that will uplift the country and not strip it of its chuddies in the international press… if you can’t do this then tell your wives to take out a massive ironing board because every few months you will be ironing a new suit for a politician or a uniform. If you don’t act now you will keep going round and round the merry go round. The decisions you make will define your tomorrow and then your kids will tell you that you wrote the history being taught to them…
